Poker parace mesmo ser um jogo de pura sorte... Depois de cravar um bracelete no WSOP o ano passado, nessa madrugada Alê Gomes conquistou o WPT e um módico prêmio de $1,187,670. Abaixo a mão da vitória:

Gomes raises to 535,000, Jaka moves all in, and Gomes quickly calls with AcJh. Jaka shows As7h, and he'll need to improve to stay alive.

The board comes 8d6s2c6d9s, and Alex Gomes wins the pot -- and the tournament -- with his jack kicker. There is still a large group of Brasilian fans on the rail rooting for Gomes, and they break into song after the river card hits. (I don't speak Portugese, so I don't know what they're singing.)

Faraz Jaka finishes as the runner-up, earning $774,780.

Alex Gomes wins the WPT Bellagio Cup V, earning $1,187,670, a WPT bracelet, a Bellagio bracelet, and that includes his $25,500 entry fee into the Season VIII WPT World Championship.
